Community Offline Patch: Work has begun, but we need help.

Good day fellas, some of you might know from my previous post "Offline Mode is in the game", that me and our dedicated The Crew 1 community are researching offline mode, and we have made slight progress in unlocking it (for the first time since the game came out 9 years ago), even getting as far as getting the game to display the hidden offline play start screen on both PC and Xbox 360, however it is not functional yet. I uploaded an image showing it in that post.

The point of this post is to spread awareness, that yes, offline mode is absolutely in all versions and builds of the game (along with local save data functionality), and there are (now) a few people working on unlocking offline mode, as a community. However we are currently "understaffed" you could say, so if you, or someone you know is experienced in any kind of game/software manipulation, PLEASE join or tell them to join our Community on Discord![discord.gg]

We have a dedicated thread where we discuss and detail all research, findings and progress, so that will give you a little kickstart on what we're dealing with.

P.S. And don't get me wrong, if you are just an ordinary player and fan of the game, go ahead and join us as well! We play the game, share tips, tricks, secrets, obscure info about the game and etc... And we don't demean you for playing this game over it's mobile game successors unlike a certain "official" community. Please don't take this post as a blatant advertisement though, it's more of an "asking for help" post.

as for progress of server emulation i think we need some UPD in OP post.

I boycott Ubisoft mainly because none of their games even interest me in the first place enough for me to pay their high entry fee. Only one that sticks out to me is the new PoP and that one isn't even a first party title, it's just published by them cuz it uses their IP. I spread Ross' video way more than any other motive fyi

For example, I like the Crew and beta tested Motorfest. Since this situation with the Crew, I will not buy a copy. Also, I really like Avatar and actively looked forward to the new game that came out, hoping it might be fun and good. Since the Crew... not getting a dime out of me. And those were 2 guaranteed sales they lost. Since they did not fix this, I will not buy from them again. It's that simple.

I did, however, fill out the paperwork on stopkillinggames today, so that is a good first step.

Thats great. Dont forget not buying anything from Rockstar, Blizzard, Sony, WB, EA, Activision, 2K, Square Enix, Konami, Epic, Microsoft and Bethesda, as well. Since they all using online only gaming too

If you truly care about game preservation and this project, then stop running it on Discord.

Yuzu's code is legally volatile because they used Nintendo SDKs and had pay-locked features

also news/updates is being posted on Discord, not software itself... and regardless, I'm not one you should be trying to convince, I'm a nobody within The Crew community nor do I have any association with TCU

Can a patch also be made to unlock the PVP mode prizes once the Ubisoft disaster has been resolved?

You can't defeat this thing by reverse-engineering games with offline patches and unofficial servers because cease and desist exists, this gets even more complicated when accepting donations for the work since companies will want to protect their IPs and sources of revenue.

The only solution to the always-online problem is to change consumer rights legislation in the courtroom or government committees.
