Can't play with two PC's on the same network
My spouse and I regularly play games together, so we typically look for games with a solid foundation for co-op play. Initially, I thought this would be it, but when we both finished downloading the beta, we found out that only one computer on the same network can play. If we both try to connect, even at different times, it takes forever to load the main menu, and when one of us selects the continue option, the computer that's been logged in gets disconnected from the server.

This is a huge factor in purchasing the game for us, and I'd hate to see such a crap system implemented into a game that's all about the co-op experience. I could see this being applicable to other MMO's, where dual-boxing and RMT are serious issues, but why have it for this game? This is also an issue with Splinter Cell, so I'm wondering if Ubisoft is responsible for this sort of thing and not necessarily the developers. We bought that to try out Spies vs. Mercs together, and that ended up being a waste of library space. Will this be an issue after the game's released?

damn, hope not
Might be a silly question but are you trying to connect on both machines to the same UPlay account? I would assume that wouldn't work and would disconnect the first logged-in machine.
Nope, we both have our own Uplay accounts and beta keys. =P
Thanks Fox. I've pass the message to the teams. We'll look into the issue now.
OK!!! so is there a resolution to this as i have the same problem now! my friend is here for the weekend and if we log on the crew PC on the same DSL 4MB network either him or me will get disconnected every now and then, it is really annoying this crap happened with TDU2 and the Devs never fixed that crap... i was hoping to buy 2 more PC limited additions from my local store for my 2 sons but if this is the case i will not bother and wont buy either the season passes.. as that was part of my idea to get DLCs aswell. Devs must sort this crap out...
It was resolved for me, but I also picked up a new router. Not sure if that was the issue or not. :S
Nope. It might just be you guys. I had 3 of my friends over for a LAN party on launch night. We had all machines on the same network. Different IP addresses and had no issues. So check your router settings and network settings. If you need to. Set static IP addresses.
will do that thanks DJ , just a question if i need to set static IP addresses would i need to aquire the IPs from my internet service provider and then assign them on my router for each PC or do i need to do a DunDNS setup?
Nope. If you go to your network settings within the router, you will be able to set your IP's on your home network. If you need help. I would look for a guide on your router on how to do it. I have a D-Link router I bought and my PC is set as say the IP 192.168.0.100 and my buddies is 192.168.0.101
thanks for the assistance i will see if i can do it myself if not , i will let you know
Static local IP addresses won't matter as the router would be doing DHCP leases anyway. It was likely a port forwarding issue (low-end router) or an issue with "UPnP" or "Universal Plug n' Play."
Anyone know of a fix for this? I currently have this problem
disable UPnP in you router.
