WHAT HAPPENED TO WILD RUN?

So... I've seen that the new update (Calling All Units) has come out... and I went to the Crew's store page. Then I saw that The Crew: Wild Run is no longer available, which was seemingly replaced by Calling All Units. HELP ME. I paid extra money for the Wild Run, just to be replaced by Calling All Units, which wants me to pay $25 more ontop of what I paid for the Wild Run+original. I have two little brothers that were exited about the update when it came out, and wanted to drive the police cars. They were extremely dissapointed when they saw it was an add on that we had to pay for. Haven't bought Calling All Units (don't plan to), I don't want to spend any more than I already have, plus it only allows me to buy a few specific vehicles on two levels: I have to first buy the expansion pack, then spend the in-game currency to actually drive the cars.

I would deeply appreciate clarrifacation on what is going on here.

Confused how we can help you here.

You have Wild Run already you said, and you don't plan to buy CAU. You didn't lose WR, it is just no longer sold separately but included with CAU now. I don't see the problem here, well apart from your brothers wanting CAU but you not wanting it, but that is something we cannot help you with.

Ok. Previous Wild Run owners should have been allowed to upgrade to CAU for free, or at least at a discount (kinda like Windows upgrading), since they already bought Wild Run previously (and I'm pretty sure they were the same cost). But I do realize that neither of us have control over this. Thank you for the info!

I totally agree that existing Wild Run owners should have either got CAU for free or a much larger compensation than they did.

New players get WR for free, the only thing those upgrading from WR get a fullstock GT-R in their garage (which is purchaseable with ingame bucks from the dealerships, nada exclusive about it). Big slap in the face of old supporters of the game if you ask me.

A little bit of backstory: last year, I got a gift card for Steam, and went to the store to buy The Crew. The original Crew was $20, and the Wild Run was $25 (maybe 30?) I had done some research on both editions, and thought that the Wild Run was a better investment, since it was advertised to have better graphics and sound (I had no idea it had more content than the original). Now you can get The Crew (with Wild Run) for $20...
...I assume the extra money I paid for the Wild Run went down the drain...

I guess we'll have to wait for a sale before (or if) I get CAU.

Yes, I love Forza, but the only reason I bought the Crew was for the open-world feature.
I may end up buying Forza though... I heard there was an open-world one I think...
