Plead to devs: Snyder Trucking Warehouse
I've relocated my base to the STW( Snyder Trucking Warehouse). Everything goes well, but there's a little problem. The zombies can climb over the fences of the perimeter. Is it a bug or should it be like this? Something tells me it's a bug, cuz i tried climbing over the fence while playing as a surivor and I couldn't do it. My point: If you can't climb over, neither should the zombies. Plus, If you take a closer look, you can see that the fences have barbed wires at the top.
In any case, I hope that this message gets to you and you'll at lleast try to do something about this.

They've always been able to do that, they also ignore barbed wire, I've no clue if it's gonna be changed. If you put some outposts around your homebase you shouldn't have much trouble with zombies, I don't think I've ever had one come over the fence at me.

Yeah, they can get over and you can't. Be aware of this in other areas as well so you don't get trapped behind some tall fences when on a run.

Just make sure you build your outposts around the Warehouse and then upgrade whem with traps everyday, this will pretty much secure the whole area.

Also remember zombies are dead, so they don't worry much about barb wire, unlike us humans.

There's nothing wrong with the perimeter at Snyder Trucking... If you setup your defences properly...

Building a Lookout Tower should be the first thing you do, maybe second only to a medical facility...

Also ensure you setup outposts in a triangular pattern around Snyder...

* One in the warehouse behind Snyder (though I did not my last playthrough as it was empty and Sniping proved more than enough)..
* Another in the petrol station or mini-mart near the bridge
* And a third in one of the warehouses along the road leading away from Snyder near to the residential area on the rise...
* A fourth at the gunstore a little further away from Snyder, or one of the central houses that contain Materials if you'd prefer this over Ammo will also be a big help and reduce the number of hordes that get close...

Doing this will ensure any Hordes that come your way will go boom thanks to the Outposts traps and you will soon notice that you should no longer be getting zombies spawn nearby... On hte off chance you still do however, they will be quickly dispatched by your Snipers, as they will be very few in number...

The Machine Shop reverting to a standard Workshop upon exiting the game is definately something that DOES need fixing however...

This is pretty much exactly what I did, including the gun store and ignoring the warehouse behind. A few randoms will still get through, but not hordes, even during 'too many hordes' missions. Sniper tower will cover pretty much the entire fence including the side entrance across from petrol station. Most of the fast food lot across from the main entrance will also be covered even if it isnt outposted.

Ya it would be nice if barbwire did something, even just slowing zeds for easy headshots while they climb over.

Nothing wrong with Snyder Trucking Warehouse, put Outposts around it, remember every so often to set traps in your Tab Thingy, and every so often do a shooting platform clear the area comand, and you wont see a zombie any where near your base.

Yep looks very much like what I was doing and would only get the occasional straggler appear nearby and Hordes never got close...

Didn't get a single freak that I had to worry about while I was there, but once moving to the Fair Grounds for a change (had not tried it before) I was getting Ferals and Juggernauts appearing left and right around the area when making runs back into Marshal...

I had the whole East side of Marshall locked down. It was kinda eerie walking around with no dead in sight but hearing the moaning over the wind.

Thanks, dudes. I'll keep it in mind. I've already set up a ouple of outposts.
And now that you mention, it sounds logic that zeds shouldn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the barbed wire, but like I sad: I can't climb over the fences in the outpost, so that means neither should they, cuz it ain't like they're taller than the survivors or anything.

Yeah but its all fiction, eg: They dont feel pain so they can climb over barbed wire. or they dont feel pain so there muscles dont feel fatigue like you do, etc.

The warehouse doesn't need to be made any safer. It's by far the best home location, atm I can't imagine useing any other home when we get newgame+. I don't know if they need to nerf the warehouse, make other home locations better or best case scenario .. allow you have multiple homes (obviously causes extra resource strain).

You won't get any of this. The game content and how it plays will not change (except for the DLC) What they get on the XBOX version is exactly what we PC users are getting. The game just has to be optimized for keyboard/mouse and graphics.

One more question. What's better: Kitchen or a dining area? I'm not asking anything about the garden, cuz my resources are almost at the max right now, so I'm thinking about ditching it and replacing with a training area or another sleeping tent.

It depends how many people you have, I have 31 so I need 4 Sleeping areas, I am in Snyder Trucking warehouse and have Watch Tower, Medical Lab, 4 Sleeping Areas, Library, Storage and a Mechanic Facility
I have been playing this current game for about 7 - 9 days and have now wiped the map clean of Ammo and have left food and Medicine and materials where I have found them for the last 3 or 4 days because I have enough at the base, the Map has been 98% searched, Besides Allen and the Pastor getting sick which is a game story thing, the only person I have had sick was one guy with a Cough who got better in a few hours, you dont really need the Dining or Kitchen if your Library and Medical Lab are fully developed and stocked.
A Dojo may be good but with out the Library you can not develope your Medical Lab or make your own Medicine.

Personally, I find sleeping areas virtually pointless beyond 1 to stave off sleep deprivation... The small stamina boost is inconsequential and easily replaced with a good meal from the kitchen (which also reduces food wastage) or from training at a Dojo - which can also be setup to train other Enclaves for Ammo...
