So I just went to try and buy State of Decay (NOT YOSE) and when I go to checkout and try to buy it, it says requires State of Decay: Year One. Is this another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ instance where the older version of the game (Which I'd prefer to play because it would run better for me/I can actually afford it) is no longer available because the new and so called improved edition is coming out. I mean, YOSE isn't even out yet so you SHOULD still be able to purchase the original, right?

Yes, this is exactly an instance of the older version being discontinued.

Are you sure you selected the State of decay and not the PrePurchase State of Decay:YOSE as both options are showing on the original State of Decay Store page for me.

Yeah I did lol, I just ended up rebooting Steam and it fixed it

Original State of Decay does seem to be unavailable for real now. I tried to buy it today but there's no option to add it to cart, only for YOSE and the dlc. I can't get the new version because the new system requirements render my machine incompatible. Does anyone know if the original will become available again, maybe when the Day One sale ends?

You can still buy the original game from online stores, GMG for example. Plenty of resellers out there as well still selling it and someone on steamtrades will no doubt have a spare gift in their inventory etc.

I'd hoped that they would have discounted the DLC to coincide with the release of the YOSE edition but whatever.
