How to enable controller in state of decay?

Okay so to start of i know for sure my controller works and stuff.

this game has full controller support yet when i start the game i can't find any settings to use a controller to control the game. i can only use the keyboard! @#$$#@! Help! PLease!

If you've not got a xbox 360 controller I think you need to use a program to make the game think you have.

Strange, for me it's just Plug & Play! As soon as i press any key on controller, the game automatically switches controls to controller!

I have a ps2 controller that emulates perfectly to xbox360 via steam controller mapping. btw, the controller does work on castle crashers, wich requires an xbox360 controller to work (With controller)

oki doke. Could be a minor compatability issue for that particular game. I'm sure you're aware by now that this game has gone through, and indeed still is going through minor repairs and updates (which one isn't right). I know there's a different type of software/firmware that newer games require and that some older controller models don't have them simply because of the age. I ran into that same issue recently. I ended up buying a new controller. Here's some inexpensive suggestions:
