Friends!

BreakoutQuest's release grows nearer. I am of course very excited to share this with you, the culmination of the efforts of one developer, three artists, and one sound designer. It is about time I call this "shippable", and I hope you will find the game amusing and relaxing. Honestly, the biggest achievement is just actually finishing and releasing it.

While I don't foresee updating this game indefinitely - only so much can really be done with this old code - I do hope to update more of the art in the future. Additionally, due to the version of the engine that the game uses, adding Steamworks API integration may prove difficult. While I am fairly confident I will get cloud saving working, achievements may be a SteamPipe dream.

The internal roadmap (and by internal, I mean 'it is in my head', since the team is just me) doesn't have any hard dates on either of these endeavors, but they are both of the things that I am really hoping for. Of course, I may well polish some other quality of life items too. Fear not, modern gamer, I am not dropping the game and immediately abandoning it.

In any event, if you are reading this: Thank you so much! Seriously, just for reading it. While a wishlist would put you on my "I will love you forever" list, I am already stoked enough that you are taking the time here for me and my silly little passion project.
