Infinitely long cords

This can happen for any power cord connected to an outlet. If I drag the outlet around with my mouse, the cord correctly becomes disconnected when I drag the outlet too far away. However, if I select the outlet and "nudge" it with the keyboard arrow keys, the cord will never disconnect.

A simple example is the "Laser Outlets" tutorial puzzle. When I place the outlet and connect the red laser, I can then select the outlet and nudge it all the way to the top of the screen without the cord disconnecting.
