So I finished the game, and ended up with a huge amount of content and achievements still missing. for some reason when i've noticed when i hover the mouse over interactables, like the trunk or game on computer, my fps drops to around 20-30fps from 60. if i run the game using the "Special-K Swiss Army Knife of Gaming" the problem disappears, so as a temporary fix this might help anyone else with this problem until dev can look into it...
