If you read on the store page, it indicates under the Special Offer section "You will not receive extra copy of HMH:SMNCUB if you already have it in your Steam library."
On another note, There are literally no downsides to this, as the price for them being in a bundle is EXACTLY the same as if you were buying the game individually. I can confirm this as I've bought both games when they were full-price, individually as they came out.
Heck, the price dropped from it's initial $20 on launch down to $10 and who knows, maybe even lower one day.
However, now that I have the facts (I'm grateful for this) I think it's reasonable and I've reconsidered. I've added it to my wishlist as I missed buying it at a discount. I'll certainly get it, but not yet since my wallet needs a Phoenix Down after the sale. Thanks!
The same price if you were buying the second game alone, or both of them combined? Sounds like I would literally be paying twice for the game I want? meh.
- Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy, on it's store page costs $9.99.
- Half Minute Hero: The Second Coming, on it's store page costs $9.99, BUT comes with the first game bundled in for free.
Now the only reason you would even want to consider buying the first game instead of the second one, (which as stated several times, gives you the first game for free when purchased!), is if you were really that enthusiastic about the series and wanted to pay twice, rather than just buying the second game which gives you the first one for free.
It is also stated on Half Minute Hero: The Second Coming's store page that if you do own HMH:SMNCUB, the purchase would only give you HMH:TSC.
I hope I helped clear out some confusion.
