I refuse to buy this as a bundle.
I think it's wrong for customers who already own the first game to be expected to buy the same game twice. This post is mostly for the developers. It's a bad practice. I don't care if the price is considered low; it's the principle that matters to me.

You should offer the second game separately. Even if it's 75% of the bundle's cost, it's still fairer to those who supported you by purchasing the first game.

The bundle didnt alter in any way the price of the original game. The first game was added after a period of time since the game's actual launch, for free. So dont worry, you arent really paying more.

They actually dropped the price of the 2nd game when bundling the first with it. The devs are being very fair.

As Sharptap stated above, the price has always only counted HMH:TSC. After a few weeks or so from the launch on steam, they decided to bundle the first game completely free to everyone who purchases the second one; and dropped the price lower on top of that.

More statistical proof if you need more.

$2.75 for both games?? That is insane, how can you complain? I paid $10 on XBLA for the first game and it was a great value at that price.

I was about to purchase this and removed it at the last second because I didn't know it included the first game, dunno if I should really get this now since I don't want to buy duplicates.

If you read on the store page, it indicates under the Special Offer section "You will not receive extra copy of HMH:SMNCUB if you already have it in your Steam library."

On another note, There are literally no downsides to this, as the price for them being in a bundle is EXACTLY the same as if you were buying the game individually. I can confirm this as I've bought both games when they were full-price, individually as they came out.

Heck, the price dropped from it's initial $20 on launch down to $10 and who knows, maybe even lower one day.

You've made fair points. I wasn't complaining about the price itself, as Jeremy seems to believe, but more so the principle of bundling both games and having to buy both at more than what the second would normally cost.

However, now that I have the facts (I'm grateful for this) I think it's reasonable and I've reconsidered. I've added it to my wishlist as I missed buying it at a discount. I'll certainly get it, but not yet since my wallet needs a Phoenix Down after the sale. Thanks!

The same price if you were buying the second game alone, or both of them combined? Sounds like I would literally be paying twice for the game I want? meh.

- Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy, on it's store page costs $9.99.

- Half Minute Hero: The Second Coming, on it's store page costs $9.99, BUT comes with the first game bundled in for free.

Now the only reason you would even want to consider buying the first game instead of the second one, (which as stated several times, gives you the first game for free when purchased!), is if you were really that enthusiastic about the series and wanted to pay twice, rather than just buying the second game which gives you the first one for free.

It is also stated on Half Minute Hero: The Second Coming's store page that if you do own HMH:SMNCUB, the purchase would only give you HMH:TSC.

I hope I helped clear out some confusion.
