What's frustrating is that it's a good game mangled by a really terrible understanding of soulslikes. Like, 99% of the weapons are STR or at the very best quality, even ones that would have been a perfect opportunity to make TECH like the scythes.
The game also suffers from really terrible attack pattern pacing where enemies will cook a full course meal right before landing a blow, letting you waste 10 doges and parries, then immediately chain attack 100 times in a row at mach speed.
It's fine for enemies you want to have really uncanny movements for, like floating enemies with alien body structure (i.e. SOME necros), but not for like 99% of the enemies in the game.
But in the end, most bosses are a joke because once you even remotely memorize their attacks you can just parry them to death.
Just a crazy balance, but I still overall like the game and would like to see more. Hopefully their next game is a HUGE refinement though.

Would have liked to discover this on my own, But this works too, i pieced it together. Shudder to think on how much else i might have missed.
In the second case, yes, it is actually quite easy, but I didn't find it boring.
There are few tricky parts, if you want to explore it 100%, though.
You are probably never was at Code Vein's Cathedral.
