So that Gorsky guy is clearly a vampire, right?
He dresses like a hippie even though he looks too young to have been around when that fashion was trendy (which is even pointed out by the protagonist), he says something about being "eternal and beautiful", he's pale, he only works nights, the retirement home is clearly a way for him to have easy feeding (the journal also mentions that he fled from Canada due to some financial trouble, probably drained too many people up there), and he seems to have both charismatic and wealthy or political influence, as the law constantly ignores the sketchiness of the retirement home, and at some point two police officers come talk to him personally and after a few words they leave looking like, i quote "like they received cancer diagnosis" (vampiric mind ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?).

But our Garou protagonists spends years working for him and he doesn't notice anything? Your Garou allies drop by the mansion several times too. I don't know much about W5, do Garou not have easy access to the Sense the Wyrm gift anymore? I remember it was just a level one Gift in W20 and basically every Garou had it. Or maybe he's too high humanity for Sense the Wyrm to work? (He gives me Toreador vibes so maybe he is high humanity, but Gorsky Manor doesn't seem like something a high humanity vampire would run) Also, the Hog Throne fire the Cult cases should have definetely triggered Rötschreck, but that didn't seem to have happened. Maybe the protagonist was too focused on what he was doing or distracted by the chaos to notice the guy rampanging to get away from the fire, or he is high humanity like i theorised and he was able to resist the Rötschreck.

Also they just straight up never did anything with it? No grand hah hah you've been working for a vampire this whole time reveal? Honestly i don't mind, i like the fact that the World of Darkness is so vast and mysterious that a Garou could work for a vampire for years and not even notice. Or did i just miss some event at Gorsky Manor that did end up revealing that he's vamp? Or maybe he's not and i'm just writing this for no reason.

Oh he is a vampire alright, new sidequest bluntly confirms it too.

Also he appears in VtM Parliament of Knives too, which you can talk to him and learn that he is Clan Toreador but not a particularly influential one

A hah! I knew it! But new sidequest? Do you mean the one with the Red Talons DLC? Because i have the DLC but i didn't get the quest. I have been seeing posts saying that despite people having the DLC it's not activating it's contents in the game, maybe that happened to me too.

After you dealt with Conrad Merrit job at Esther's Bar, visit Lucinda which you learn she is not around then follow up on that.

Agree to work with her in her side job which you can take advantage of as side gig.

Inspecting the artifacts unlocks option to join Red Talons or Silent Striders and investigating further unlocks tthe side quest to track down the mystery. (This is the side quest, it proceeds as other quests meaning game will ask you to confirm if you are ready to continue)

Ah, that explains it. I unlocked that option but then i accidentally used up all my free days to train, which made the option to work the side gig disappear and then once i followed through with the next chapter it never appeared again.
Sense the Wyrm is not a passive buff, it's something you need to activate and sustain in order to benefit from its power.

In the past, there was an entire sept of Silver Fangs who became corrupted by the Wyrm, but nobody ever noticed, because they didn't consider the possibility that the "royal bloodline" of the Silver Fangs could fall victim to such influence.

When a Red Talon actually did give them a proper inspection, and discovered what happened, their tribe proceeded to slaughter the entire sept.

Yeah i know. But the protagonist says that he always knew that something is up with Gorsky manor but he can never quite figure out what. And he tells that to his packmates too. So that's to what led to me wondering if Sense the Wyrm is no longer easily obtained or something because if they were so suspicious surely one of them would have used it and figured out the Gorsky guy is a vampire.

Ah, I think it's safe to say you don't have Sense the Wyrm.

Remember, at the time the story kicks off, you're still a cub. You don't even have a Tribe yet; and it's extremely rare for cubs to be entrusted with Gifts before they're sworn in.

Add to that is the fact none of the spirits in the game seem to grant Sense the Wyrm, it might be entirely possible that none of the surviving pack members have it.

Just because it's low level, doesn't necessarily mean it's freely available.

The Cub is one thing, but all my other packmates have been Garou for several years and were part of a pretty big and successful Sept, that's why i asked if W5 changed it so Sense the Wyrm isn't low level anymore because it seemed weird to me that nobody had such a useful and simple Gift.

Just tried to check a wiki for 5th edition gifts, and it looks like Sense Wyrm doesn't even exist anymore.

There are some Gifts that allow you to detect the presence of supernatural creatures, but all they do is let you know there is something in the area. Doesn't actually tell you exactly who or what they are.
