Yeah that's south of the equator somewhere.
I have DTG's auto fireman permanently off and am using the 64x version on a 86x laptop. I have the earlier IHH 7MT, which works fine but is very basic.
On simple, I tried it with the HUD [which seriously doesn't work!!] . And with F5 text display and using a keyboard to open the firebox door and add coal. Just Trains JT/DTG 7MT Activfireman seems unavailable in Simple mode.
I tested this DTG 7MT add-on static and moving on a level route, Advanced and Simple, Nothing was added to fire mass. In case it was me, I tested it against WLoSc Black Five, the Peppercorn K1 and GWR Grange from 'Riviera Line in the '50s' They did add fire mass - coal.
Any ideas?
you need to read the manual. You cannot use simple controls with this model. If it says pro on the dlc, it's best that you read the manual.
Yub as Sengoku Samurai said.....Read the Manual.......it quite clearly states that the activFireman only works if you turned the automatic fireman off under options.
I would recommend that anyway, as that guy is quite stupid firing the wrong way and adding water when he shouldn't.
That is true for all JT Advanced Kettles, and even some others.
Pro or Advanced denotes a locomotive whose simulation is more realistic, so the manual is necessary.
Also you can use the switcher to switch between the simple and full realism version. Page 21.(At least you can on the JT sold version, which I have. check the Assets folder for that.)
I would advise you turn on ActivHints for your first tries, Page 39.
However, it would be polite to everyone if you read the manual first, and then came to us with questions about what you didn't understand instead of not reading the manual and coming to us crying for help, because you are to lazy to read the manual.
It's only 63 Pages after all, that is a fairly light read and a good one, you will learn a lot about operating the loco and it's parts and systems in it.
Yeah mechanical systems........not quite as we imagine systems today.
The section on Driving it is especially helpful.
If you don't, you might be back very soon with a blown cylinder....;)
