maybe uninstall TS 2014 and TS2013, then install TS2013 first, then update OR: install TS2014 and then update, maybe that works?!

i'm thinking you bought a cd/dvdrom, so you should be able to uninstall and install again.

I did so that I uninstalled TS 2014 then started the installation of the TS 2013 and automatically installed the TS2014. TS2013 is dvdrom.

- Can't you just (first uninstall everything if you need to), install TS2013, then let it update, then throw in the cdrom from TS2014 and install it.
- If this doesn't work, maybe install TS2013, but don't have an internet connection, so it doesn't update, i don't know if it "needs steam, but you can try it, then after installing TS2013, don't connect to the internet and install TS2014, after installing that connect to the internet for steam and such.
If this doesn't work, then maybe contact support (RCS support).

Hope this helps!

You shouldn't need to uninstall anything TS2013 should load from the DVD then steam will automatically update it to TS2014 but retaining your TS2013 DLC. Yo may need to verify the integrity of the game cache so that Steam can properly install everything from TS2013 and 2014. To verify click the library tab above --- Right click on TS 2014 (top left) choose properties, then LOCAL FILES tab and VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE. Sit back and wait and repeat until no files need to be downloaded. Can take a long time! You may also have clear the ingame cache once you start TS2014.

I would say if your are back stepping iy is wise to uninstall all other versions first then star with the oldest first reinstall "I had this when i got a new pc and went about putting ts 2012 when I had ts 2013 on steam I had a load of problems and was advised to do the above" it seams to put everthing in the right place. If you have the bought version of ts2014 you will get all the add ons for it when you install it.

Look at the bottom left corner of your Steam client. See "+ ADD A GAME..."? Click that then click "Activate a product on Steam...", follow the on-screen instructions. When asked for the key put in the TS2013 key. This should result in TS2013 content being added to your TS2014 installation via Steam download.

Welcome back!
Thank you all for your help. I was able to install the TS 2013 from the staem. With the TS2014 and TS2013 buying is a good and inexpensive way to extend the collection of routes and trains.

Good luck.
