Scenarios that won't load.

I have bought a number of games where scenarios won't allow play.An error mesage appears over the screen saying items are missing such as carriages or units. These do not appear in the store so unable to buy. As a result games I have purchased cannot be used, a waste of money or rip off dependant on point of view. If obsolete then surely games should not be available for sale! Is there a solution Ii am missing!

You maybe got some missing files when you downloaded your purchases, especially if Steam site was busy at the time.

From main Steam page, right click on TS 14, then select properties, all files, verify integrity. Wait while it does its thing, it may take a while depending on the size of your TS 14. If you get anything other than "all files verified", do it again until you do.

Then open TS 14. From main menu click settings (top right) tools, clear cache, yes. This will close you down to steam page. OK the fault message, wait a few seconds then re-start TS 14 and hopefully you should be OK to go.

I bought the ilse of white dlc. When playing the scenarios in career mode I got a missing file error when starting. I search google and one solution was to press F2 to save the scenario progress and it cleared the error for me.

This only affected career mode though. Standard drive was not affected.

Perhaps you could tell us what scenarios are giving you problems? Or which carriages or units are listed as missing?

BTW, calling something a ripoff when it works for everybody other than you is silly.

Check forums, TS 2014 is definetely not working for everybody. At this point this game is a total ripoff.

We aren't talking about the forums and the long-standing complaints about bugs. We are talking about this specific user and his inability to figure out how to load only scenarios in which he has the assets for.

Don't make this into something it isn't.

I'm getting this with career scenarios usign the small steam engine. Trying the clear cache fix now...edit: nope, that didn't work, still gives the "scenario failed to load" error. WIll try revalidating but I Only reinstalled the game last week...

edit: revalidating said 29 files needed to redownload but none appeared to. restarting teh scenario had no effect, still wont start. It's the OST Invincible. Apparently it's so invincible it won't even run.
