Driver Vigilance
What causes the Driver Vigilance to activate? Can it be shut off? On my NEC routes it comes on sometimes 3 and 4 times right in a row. I click on each one until it is finally shut off, but by that time my power handle (not the brakes) has shut down to zero.
Thanks.

I have not driven any modern trains with the vigilance device, but here's what I do know about it: It will sound the warning if the driver does not operate any of the controls during approximately a 1 minute cycle. If the warning is not cancelled within approximately 4 - 7 seconds then the power supply will be cut off and emergency brakes will be applied. It cannot be deactivated for obvious reasons. Try driving the train and keep moving the power handle every few seconds or so and it should be fine. I don't have any of the NEC routes, so I cant comment on them.

I'm not sure which locos it is but two I know have working DSD isolate switches in the area above the sunblind, think its the 66 or 67.

One thing I have noticed with the 801 is that the TPWS grids are super sensitive for some reason and that hitting the "Q" button sometimes clears the audible warning but doesn't stop the auto brake intervention and for some reason it seems to do this particularly around the TPWS grids.

I've just driven to P'boro and all the way I have had to basically hit the Q button a fair amount and not all of them registered with the "clunk" so when this happened, like magic, the next pair o' grids and bang, on comes the brakes BUT no audible warning was sounding :S

So my conclusion is to keep whacking that Q button all the way up from Kings X lol and move that controller up and down a bit, of course when you get to 125, you only need to move it up and down a bit to keep it under speed but I still whacked the Q button "just in case" hehe
