Throttle Settings
It seems that on the few loco's that I've used (Horseshoe Curve, Donner Pass & Sherman Hill) the throttle settings are in large increments. Meaning that they will only go from 0 - 13 - 25 - 38 and such. I cannot set the throttle to somewhere in between these settings and let go of the mouse.

Now, i have found that if I set the throttle to something other than the presets and hit F2 to bring up the save button, hit cancel the throttle will stay wherever I set it to.

I've looked in the manual and the settings and don't see anything on this.

This has been a long standing problem with TS. I have e-mailed Railworks (now DTG of course) about this very thing several times in the past and got a simple "Thanks for your input.." kind of reply. I am an ex train driver (British Railways). On most of the multiple units that I used to drive there was something like 42 "notches" on power controller - the TS version has 4 - that's right FOUR ! Guess it's a design fault that we have to live with.............

The controls are accurate to their real life counterparts. If it is a "design fault" its a fault with the actual trains not the game.

And Who design then the trains in TS ?

They most certainly are NOT ! Those trains were running as far back as the late 50s through to the 90s. The sim game was not even born before the 00s so the real life thing came a very long time before the game - the game has NOT BEEN DESIGNED TO BE ACCURATE TO REAL LIFE and therfore the fault lies at the feet of the game designers! - ergo a design fault !!!

The main complaint was about US trains only having 8 notches for throttle, which they do. Most modern English trains also use a notched system. The vast majority of the old diesel locomotives that don't have the notched system don't in the game.
