Exeter to Barnstaple
I have the Exeter to Bristol route and the Riviera route from Exeter to Paignton. It would also be good to have the Exeter to Barnstaple route and I have recently found out that DP Simulations offer this route for free. I have watched a video of the line on YouTube and it looks great. I have managed to download it but cannot follow the instructions on how to install it. Can anyone please help with a simple step by step guide?

The readme.txt file is reasonable but doesn't explain where the "Utilities" program is.

Make sure TS2015 is closed.

Browse to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks" folder on your PC (or wherever you have installed TS2015 to).

Open the Utilities.exe file.

Click on the Package Manager tab.

Click on Install.

Select one of the .rwp files that came with the route and then install it. Repeat for all the others (7 in total). The readme file suggests an order but any order should be fine.

For step 3, you need to clear the cache by going to Settings > Tools > Clear Cache inside TS2015, then allow the game to restart. This just wipes some temporary files that the game will re-create.

Note the route requirements in the readme and especially that you already have the European Loco & Asset Pack. To check, go to the link to the Steam store page next to it and see if it tells you that you already own it. If not, then most of the older European routes include it, including those that cost £9.99 - it's not worth buying the pack on its own.

Many thanks Keith, will give it a go. It certainly is not as straightforward as when you buy a new DLC route through Steam. After you have confirmed your purchase, it just appears ready to play a short time afterwards installed in the right place.

You think that's hard?, try installing Bluecode skins, impossible, you have to be a Computer whizz to work theirs out ! I even wrote to their support for help, they answered me once then abandoned me. But ! After a while, I now find DP's easy to install as you will do.

I discovered that in order to make sure it installs without problem it is best to first refresh the add on list before installing new content, you will find that button under the install button. When you don't refresh some routes will not install properly

Hi guys, has anyone installed this route on TS 2017? I've tried following the above method but my Utilities program is nothing like it is described above! If anyone can help I'd be very grateful. Thanks! J

An alternative if you can't get it working is to use something like 7-zip, as RWP files are just ZIP files, with the files inside arranged in the same folder structure as TS. You would just copy the files and folders to the equivalent location. 7-zip is ideal as it has a two-pane view. However you wouldn't have the uninstallation facility that Utilities offers, and you'll need to be more careful.

You should still need to clear the cache inside the game, as C12 suggests.

Some people complain that translation is bad.
On the other hand, there are people who can hide without reporting the results.

If there is no result report, you do not know whether it succeeded or failed.
So, stress accumulates.
This is due to low morale.
