Can you expand on that out of range error anymore? Does it say anything else? I'm wondering if its the graphics card causing the message rather that the actual TS prog.
EDIT: What resolution is your monitor set at?
- I have just removed all DLC's and reinstalled without them, so they don't interfere somehow.
My screen resolution is 1680x1050 and my screen just goes blank with the "Out of range" text displayed. I very rarely get this message, but its usually because the active program tries to use a higher or a very odd resolution. So far my guess is that TS2015 is configured for 1920x1080 or 1920x1200.

When I shut down the game (Right clicking on the TS icon in the taskbar and select close application) I get the following entries:

The max resolution of my monitor *is* 1680x1050.
I did what Glenn has wrote above to get HD6870/Train Sim back to default settings then changed it to 1280x960 res again, but same as you i could hear music but had no picture at 1280x1024.
I have tried changing the refresh rate in Windows to 59Hz and it seems like my monitor doesn't like 59Hz - I get the "Out of Range" message again, this time without running the game. I remember having had this problem with other games in the past, other games which defaulted to 59Hz instead of 60Hz which is what my monitor supports.
<mGfxWidth>1024</mGfxWidth>
<mGfxHeight>768</mGfxHeight>
Are they the same as mine? I'm not sure if it will help tho' as I am not quite sure of the way that file works - those readings in my file bear no relationsip to my window settings (1600 x 1024 windowed). But if they are higher it might be worth changing them to see what happens. OR: MOVE it and the similar file 'config.xml' to the desktop and then try running TS. If it goes very wrong or simply no change, it's very easy to simply return both files to where they were.
EDIT: I just did that and when I ran TS it opened in such a small window that I couldn't do anything with it! So I closed it down and replaced just the config.xml file and it then opened as normal.
What I think happens is, that my monitor reports supporting 75Hz (I don't know in which resolution that it supports it, but the specs actually says max refresh rate 75Hz). The game picks up 75Hz as being the maximum refresh rate supported but fail to verify that the monitor actually accept the configuration and following trying to fall back to another refresh rate.
