Class 390 alarms
Hi. I bought the wcml south pack. On the class 390 in career mode from Euston to Birmingham few miles out of Euston the sander light comes on with an alarm which I cannot find a way to stop apart from bringing the train to a stop. Any help appreciated.

Sounds like it's the DVD (Drivers Vigilance Device) activating. It has a very quiet alarm and is easily missed. This operates every minute or so if no controls are used, as it does for real, to check the driver is OK.
Use Ctrl+D to de-activate. Acknowledge using Q.

Hope this helps

Hello. Thank you for responding. First thing I did was ctrl-d. Also used O. It made no difference

You should use Q (Queue) to cancel not "O".

Sorry. Yes I did mean that. And every other key on the keyboard actually. I just could not get it to stop. Tried scenario three times I always get the same.

I've run this again with the DVD - DSD (Drivers Safety/Vigilance Device) left active, the default state.
This device operates when any of the driving controls are not used for a specified amount of time.

If you miss the audible alarm sounding, and it is VERY QUIET, then the E brakes come on and the Sander light on the dash lights up. There is NO visual indicator. You have to acknowledge the alarm within 3 seconds with Q or the brakes come on.

Once this happens there is NOTHING you can do until the train come to a stop. Once stopped then you can reset the brakes again.

At the start of the scenario there is a box that shows top right of screen that says something like "DVD is active" You can then use Ctrl+D to deactivate it. Another box will show its deactivated state.

Hope this helps again.
