Track Bin Files
I have 4 career scenarios in the Cheyenne 1869 Extension Sherman Hill, they are:
[UP119] 3:10 to Laramie, In old Cheyenne , Rails into Laramie and West of Cheyenne .

They won't start, do to a failure, "can not load" (Track bin files) I tried every thing I can think of, working through RW Tools, everything checks out OK. Had tried by reloading files for the extension... Nothing works. All other files or Scenarios that came with or that was added works in free roam, standard and two in Career mode: Nineteen to Cheyenne & Sherman/Hell on Wheels.
Any Ideas?

THANK YOU !!
It does work for all 4 scenarios, but with each scenario I have to do the F2 again.
Is there something in the trackbin file that I need to change?
And obviously I haven't a clue what a trackbin file is. If there is a way to open it up and change anything, I'd give it a try. But all in all I could live with F2.

Thanks Again
Rich

Glad you're sorted. If you don't know what you're doing, I wouldn't mess about with Track Bin files. Stick to F2 etc it's only 2 mouse clicks.

Yes I agree. If ya don't know what your doing, DON'T DO IT. But you won't learn that way either.
My key is to save everything that you want or work on and save it twice. One file on my had drive and one on my memory stick, per say 1TB SSD drive. And that definitely goes for Assets & Routes files, due to purchasing items from Steam.

When Steam downloads they up-date all your files. I've change loco sounds to my liking and fixed things that you pay an arm & a leg for. But I guess they don't have a good QC dept. You pay for route with lines hanging down things missing and also things that that you may add. All gone, due to a download.,if you haven't saved it.

To get off of my rambling, if there is a file that controls TrckBin or in TrackBin itself.
Please pass on your knowledge. It be helpful and a new learning curve for an old 67+ man to do.
Here in Indiana it's cold out side, not much to do. I'm retired and have the time to learn somthing.

Thank You

Sorry mate, can't help any further. I have very little or no knowledge of route building which is where I think you would find the Track Bin files. You could try a Google search if not done already.

If you change anything in your free roam trackplan (like adding a crossover, or a siding, or even removing or shortening a siding), then when you come to load a preset scenario, that scenario file is now corrupted because the trackbin is also changed. If the scenario doesn't use that part of the track, it might be OK. The moral of this tale? ... if you're going to change your "Free Roam" track, clone the route first and change only the cloned route.

You can always re-download your original route(s). This won't change your newly-cloned route because you will have had to give it a different name.

I've had similar problems, but I must try the f2 trick! I wouldn't dream of trying to find the Trackbin files. That's getting into programming "tiger country".

Thanks for the info. I'll rember not to do that. The Route was the Cheyenne 1869 Extension. I had 4 Career Scenarios that came up with that trackbin problem. I deleted them and reloaded, still the samething.
My fix, RWtools, changed them into Standard Routes.. No problem now. And that F2 trick did work also.
