Route Markers
I asked this in the other forum and got no replies and figured I'd ask here. How do I put in Route Markers? I know how to do markers for platforms, sidings and such but can't figure out the route markers.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Me too. I need the route marker to jump to stations more quickly. Currently I just write down the GPS location for each station, and type in the box to get to it.

Use the 3rd party utility RW_Tools to insert route markers.

Run Google Earth.. In the top toolbar you will see what looks like a yellow pin. You select this and then place them wherever you want them along the route. When finnished, RIGHT click on the folder that contains all those markers (in the left panel) and then select " Save Place As ". Choose your location and then save as *.kml file.

I run the risk of getting told off for this next bit:

Run RW_Tools. On the top toolbar select Route Building Tools. Then Marker Files. Then Convert Markers Direct to DCSV. Then follow the onscreen instructions. When finnished, the route markers SHOULD appear as flag poles in the world editor (most times, but occasionally not!). If they are not visible, press F6.

You do not need route markers to jump to locations. (Although the STATION / DESTINATION / SIDING markers will help)

DO THIS. Press '9' on the key-pad and the 2D map will appear. Scroll to where you want to move to. Hold down the Ctrl key and then point and click the LEFT mouse button. Open the drop-down panel in the top of the screen. Click the white arrow. RIGHT click mouse to exit to the new location.

Thank you ! I just don't know the Ctrl+Click method.
It works perfectly!
