Bring back the BR class 02 shunter or something new in the same role?

one thing I need right now in game is an 0-4-0 diesel shunter to fullfill duties on british heretidge rail.. the 02 was great for this though it would be nice to add something a little more robust and still pretty comon like the diesel electric/mecanical Ruston 165 for example that I have driven myself in real life. is this something that can be adressed or does anyone have something similar/ let me know :)

Game of gnomes uses the 02 but theyve murdered it. Killed the physics. Top speed. Auto gears.. It *will* accept textures from the dead 02 from doncaster.. The cab exists in the datafiles too.. I did my best to fix it up but honestly. I think im in the same position as you in light rail/dockyard use... Return to maerdy's little battery loco and the beautifully ugly advanced J94 steamer do work well on bad trackwork.. Buy it on special next. Youll love it

I love the 03 like no other loco... Hell one of them was my teddybear when I was 3-6 years old (bachman 00)

But as im building extensive light rail modifications of malemsbury.. The 03s fell out of favor for the maerdy stock

I think the OP is refering to the Class 02 rather than the Class 03 from Doncaster, the Class 02 was withdrawn some years ago, reasons unknown.

Hehe :) game of gnomes dlc has the said altered 02.. Textures are from doncasters 02 dead loco they fit fine

Its a bit of a personal project.. Ill write up a guide once im done

The cabview in game of gnomes 02 is on the hood.. But the datafiles have all the existing cab.. So its all still there.. Just needs reworking

Its DTGs thing.. Use old DLC.. But be lazy and leave everything intact


Ive got the gears to change manually and speed limited from 40 to 15 but im working on un-murdering the controls.. Finding what does what is a slow process

All the sounds are still in the datafiles too

As im finding with the 03 my own sharp tramway efforts are unkind.. The 3B battery loco fits the task

I didn't realize they had resurrected the old Class 02 for that Gnome thing they did, sorry Overland.

It can be quite rewarding modding TS but be prepared for spend some time and experience a lot of frustration along the way!
