F5 " HUD" suggestions
So Basically I was trying to run a Miami scenario without using the F or F4 HUD displays (well as little as possible) and basically this can be done very well with the use of the F5 text HUD. However I had to switch back and forth to F3 in order to make sure I didn't get a speed limit all of a sudden and that kind of ruined the experiance for me a bit. I would like to suggest the following additions to the F5 one tap hud.
Current speedlimit
Distance to next speedimit
speed at next speedlimit
Distance to next target.

I.... and I am sure many other players.... would be very happy if that could be added.

yes yes... fix bugs, fix scenarios, fix routes. I know, we know, they know. no need to make that comment in this topic thank you.

I would like to second all your suggestions and endorse the last sentence strongly. The addons are not cheap and we can at list expect that they work!!!

I'd agree with you

Just startet to drive steam engines with manual fireman, and is still learning. I find the f5 text hud to be the best when driving all manual, but I miss to know the current speed limit and upcoming speed limit. I have enough work with learning the keyboard keys, watching the pressure, water, fire, etc. looking out for the signals, as well as having my head out of the window to look for posible speed changes.

I think at least there should be an option to show/hide speed limits, to help people that isn't experienced with the game.

Thanks.

First of all i haven't drive until now steam trains. for the rest trains i think it is more enjoyable not using F3, F4 or F5. i had played the same scenarios many times until finished them without errors. when i finished any scenario i felt very happy. and all of this without F3, F4 or F5. I have already 10 routes but from the January 2015 when i started playing this game, i only play ECML London - Peterborough. I have the map printed from the game's manual in front of me and it is very helpful. When i started to playing TS2015 i used the F4, after that i used F5 and now i prefer to play without them.

happily the game bring the choice to play as we like... F3, F4, F5 and without HUD. Free to you to play as you want but as in the first post mentionned it will be helpfull to get some more indications on the F5 help driving HUD.

what is the difference from F4 if you putting all of that on F5? The only difference for me is the graphics on F4.

As you state yourself, Graphics. I don't want the bar but I do want it's information.

The f5 hud gives you more detailed information about your boiler when you drive a steam engine, which is important when you drive with manual fireman. But I miss the bottom window on the f3/f4 hud that tells you about upcoming signals, gradient, stops/waypoints and speed limits.

One work around is to utilize the F5 HUD but pop up the F3 HUD every so often to get the track information - Works well.

Yeah, I was hoping to avoid that. You should be able to combine the f5 hud with the f3/f4 or something like that.

Can you change the text size/font in F5 HUD?
