CSX SD40-2 in cab lights

Center, on top of the cab, there's five sets of lights set at different angles , I think these have to do with signals or speed limits for the signals, what is the meaning of the lights ?

its in the literature for the ne route i believe, check in your files

Which files are you referring to ? I've looked in the manual but saw nothing about the cab lights for the SD40, I've also looked into the New York to New Haven route manual file that's in the common file, but nothing about in the cab for the SD40, only for the Amtrak ACS-64.

Those are in-cab signals for running on the New York - New Haven route.
There is information on in-cab signaling in the manual for that route, but not specifically for the CSX SD40.

Thanks Mvsmith, yea i found those in the NY - NH route, but I'm still confused a little, I'm starting to understand them a little, the very top one is clear, bottom one is for stopping soon i think, the other three has to be signal speed limits, but haven't worked those out yet

this is all i could find,
"SD40-2 In- Cab Signalling and Alerts - The in-cab signalling and alerts is similar to the ACS-64 with the following small differences: The cab signalling only displays the aspect, it does not display the speed limit, the engineer is expected to know this information. Cab signalling is displayed on a pillar at the top of the front panel in the center of the cab."

Thanks for the info Toes, that's more then I found, Lol, Seems I missed that days training in engineer school. I'll go back and record the alerts from the ACS-64 to have something to compare, Thanks again.
