Are there any workshop addons that don't require DLC?
Hey there, I gifted one of my friends a copy of TS15 (Steam Edition), and he's looking to expand his collection without spending money at first, but every workshop article I found so far requires some DLC or another,

I was wondering if any of you guys know of a route or loco that I can download for him from the workshop, that doesn't require any DLC.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Which routes does he have? In the workshop you can filter the scenarios by route and then choose those which do not require any additional DLCs.

Thank you for replying,

I bought him the 2015 Steam Edition, which includes:

Train Simulator 2015
East Coast Main Line London-Peterborough Route Add-On,
Los Angeles Commuter Rail F59PH Loco Add-On,
Munich - Garmisch-Partenkirchen Route Add-On,
NEC: New York-New Haven Route Add-On,
Pacific Surfliner® LA - San Diego Route,
San Diego Commuter Rail F59PHI Loco Add-On,

I want him to have a taste of the free addons first before he goes to shell out money for new addons, if there are some free ones that he can use with that he will be very happy.

Once again thank you for your help.

For the American routes at least -

The Pacific Surfliner seems to lean on Marias quite a bit to provide freight assets, but the NEC: NY-NH route definitely has some stand-alone workshop scenarios. .

There are tons of scenarios for the routes you have. Just seartch the workshop for scenarios with each route checked, and then see if it needs any DLCs. There are many that don't.
