Making a scenario and a fatal error occurs.
I tried making a scenario today and it crashed straight away as a message window showed that there was a fatal error in DRIVE and that it was an assertion error. I have reported this to Dovetail games. I think that TS classic is pointless when you spent a lot of money on it and then add insult to injury that it decides to not allow you to create a scenario as it shows a message.

I think it very likely that problem is down to your PC and or something you did wrong making the scenario. You can't always jump straight onto the "it's TSC's fault" without working on the problem first. When you think about it, EVERY computer programme is very complex, some running millions of lines of code. There are also millions of different PC set-ups, so it's silly to expect a single programme to work flawlessly for every single computer. Let's start by getting more information from you: have you previously constructed a scenario that worked? On what route? And let's have a lot more info about your computer etc.

Yes, I have created other scenarios on the same route with no serious problems, except the annoying 'run out of memory' message that causes the whole simulator to crash in the past. My computer is an upgraded system Microsoft Windows 11 Pro / i7-14700 2100MHz / 64Gb memory installed SMBIOS version 3.6 / 10.0.26100 build. The most serious issue is the assertion failed error.

Hi Glenn, thanks for that. I completely uninstalled the simulator including all third party add on for the simulator. I left it for a day or two then reinstalled everything and unfortunately, the message reappeared again, particularly in quick drive. I have reported this serious error to support and I am awaiting their reply.
