What train, route, country are you having problems with? Did you read the manual that comes with many routes and engines?
You might be talking AWS, PzB, Sifa etc, there are many systems in as many countries.
If the alarm goes off you need to press the Q in most (but not all) cases
Manuals can be found by going to your ...\Steam/steamapps/commonRailworks/Manuals folder and find either the train manual if there or the route manual
These systems are in place for security, some need you to acknowledge yellow and red signals, some are in place to "make sure you still there" . If you don't respond to them the system thinks you are no longer capable of driving your train and it will stop the train
systems that go off and don't let you run your train after you stand still often need you to pull both reverser and throttle all the way down at the same time to release the system again, this is typical for trains with combined throttle and brake
Hated German Routes till I finally understood how the signalling, Sifa and PZB (well almost) worked - now they are my preferred routes - Welcome to the world of simulation - be careful it can be a vortex that takes up all your free time.
Very wise words indeed! :)
and by the way, welcome to the community :)
since that's my local town stuff and just try to master it.
