Where's the Orient Express?
Yes, why isn't it created for TS yet. It's the most iconic train in the world and you want to tell me it isn't created yet for TS, why not?

I love to see the old MSTS version recreated in TS.

good question. You should post it in here as DTG is looking for inspiration at the moment: http://steamcommunity.com/app/24010/discussions/3/537402115071925980/

Yes it would be a lovely addition to the game. Even if creating the whole route is unfeasible, (because of shear length and resources required to make and run the route), then just to run a shorter iconic section like Milan to Venice would still be wonderful to see. Or the more recent version of the train, would allow the opportunity to run the train through either Switzerland or Austria, which would be superb. A shorter section, as a starting point, would also open up doors for future extensions to the route crossing different countries (so far not covered by the game).

5th item, the coaches.

now take a look at the Dampflocks at http://rail-sim.de/forum/wsif/index.php/Category/71-Dampfloks/. with the BR38 and/or the BR52 I would think you would make a pretty cinvincing consist that might actually have been pulling thoe OE at some point

Or http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=30301 and http://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info.php?form_fileid=30316 (may be the same as your Mavadelo but I just see a blank page from your link - may need to be registered)

yes same package, and a quick chack on my link showed me as logged in so very well possible you need an account. Knowing me it has to be a free account though and it downloads at least 5 times faster then UKTS (which means it still is a crawl lol)

I tend to agree and, along with that thought, how about some of the UK 'Pullman' services ? :)

UKTS has some pullmans and I can get you the blue pullman if so desired

Many thx Ighten, for the handy links; which worked a treat.

They look a nice set of coaches, and very usable. I'm sure with a bit of imagination on some of my Swiss & Austrian routes I can create a fair representation of the OE experience. :)

yes and no, yes it is on UKTS, no it is not by Dave, it is by Richard Jennings

(appearantly I had "yesterdays diner" in my eyes, seems to be MSTS)

oh... don't use site search from UKTS it is a disaster indeed. Just use google with this string
"Desired itemname" "Railworks" "UKTS" (change UKTS for the site you are searching like RWA, Railsim.de etc (p.s, same is valid for steam search, when using google it searches both old and new forums)

Not..... even..... close

the most iconic train in the world does not exsist, it all depends on location and perspective

The most iconic train in the world should at least have one important issue... when people see the name they should know what it is about and not feel the need to google it. As I am not from the UK I had to google this one. Don't have to do this for let's say the Orient or Trans Siberian express (now we are talking iconic) This 125 to me is nothing more then another HST (first impression)) isn't that just a Class 91? I am sure ukts or another site will have the 125 livery for it?

Not want to diminish the statue this train might have for you but the worlds most iconic... nah ;)

Yes, it is also usually the 5 star hotel trains. Like Rovos Rail or the Blue Train down here in RSA. India got their Maharajas Express and US got their California Zephyr or something like that.
