Problems in Google map overlay
I have just entered the code from google into the ts2015, and lowered all the advanced settings but all I get is blue circles. Having lost all the information from various route builds, I have decided to try again to rebuild the routes.
Can anyone help, and also is there a way to backup the file,as not to lose it again on another drive.

Endless blue circles means the API code is wrong. You can copy/paste it from the Google page, which saves errors in repeating it.

There is a backup facility built it. Check the below link:

Hi the code I have is about 40 letters numbers starting with Alza is that the righ one, and google has now put a different set up than before, namely api android ect, its so confusing now.

Its now showing just a blanket saying image and google but no map.

A white image with GoogleMaps written on it means two things:
1] The code entered is correct and now working.
2] The zoom level you have set is not available from GoogleMaps. Not all of the world is recorded at maximum zoom level.

You'll need to move the slider back (I would recommend half way). Try loading your route again and turning on the Overlay again. Also go to GoogleMaps directly and turning on the satellite images. See how far you can zoom in to your desired location. That will show how sharp the images will get in TrainSim.

All the best with the route building.

Hiya mate, had a little progress, but still no map, although it does show google 2015 on it. I pushed the zoome to the minimum, tried it,them moved it half way, although came up with sorry no image again. its really getting to me,due to losing my work on the Delph Donkey line, due to being hacked, and having to re format the pc,now this. Also when i made the new route, I put in the lat and long numbers, but when I started the program it was a different number, can you help.

Bad luck having to format your HDD. I keep copies of my stuff on an External HDD for that very reason, though the format was due to my own mistake! Typed D: instead of C:!

Did you try looking on the googlemaps website in a browser to see what images are available for the place you want? It does sound like there are no map images, which would be odd.

What is the lon/lat you are looking at?

Yes I know, I should have kept it but not sure where TS keep them in the file.
The lon and lat are Lat: 53.539839 and Lon: -2069731.

Its Lees in Oldham, and used google maps before for this route, and others nearby, so cannot understand why its not coming up. The current google console is more difficult,as on mine there is 7 othes enabled like cloud ect, and when you go for an api you get a list of popular api's, so wonder if this could be stopping it.
My project have named TS2015, so not sure why I cannot get it now. Spoke to Neil Short at dovetail games too twice and he aint much use ,as I asked him to go through step by step and he just wrote back saying .

Try using a lower zoom setting in your game settings for the Google Maps overlay.

So as its now at its minimum zoom, and nothing wonder what else to try.
