MSTS Conversions

I downloaded the MSTS conversions, and while I enjoy them, I noticed there was one key loco missing: Flying Scotsman and her Gresley Teak Coaches. Is there anywhere I can find Scotsman converted to TS?

It gives you a lot of steamers from MSTS, but some are badly broken, like ALL the German ones.

Basically the only ones that don't derail are the 4-6-4 Hudsons.

Never heard of these conversions - where did you find them? The problems are not unexpected when someone tries to do conversions that are exteremly difficult (virtually impossible) to do, from one format to another.

EDIT: and if the person doing the converting does not have rights or access to the original files, there will be the inevitable copyright infringements......

Shadow, no. They might derail here and there, but they all stay on the track very well. a friend and I race in them.
The only one I have problems with is the SAR 4-8-2+2-8-4 because it uses knuckle couplers, but it has vacuum brakes. the 4-12-2 works great, and the animated Gresley Conjugated Valve Gear is mesmerizing.
The German Pacifics cab view is horrible, there is no head out view, and if you put the throttle to 100%, the rods and wheels stop moving, but the loco keeps going forward. The 2-6-4 adriatic shakes badly at 30 km/h and won't go any faster than that.
BUT: I have been able to reach 100 mph in every locomotive that should be capable of it. my favorite of them is the Milwaukee Road F7 Hudson, pulling a consist of the Morning Hiawatha or the Afternoon Hiawatha. I also have a photo freight and a steam excursion for Milwaukee Road 261.

My race buddy's favorite locos are the LMS Garratts. (2-6-0+0-6-2) We race them on Woodhead.

You guy's can do conversion from MSTS "but" always a but... when converting them need to mess with the model itself yes because some of them after the conversion they come broke as some of you mention above it but it is possibel but you looking to spend a few hour's only to convert a simple wagon from MSTS to RAILWORKS!!!!!

There's a nice K-27 and some useful rolling stock converted from MSTS available at http://www.drhs315.org/blog/drhs-shop/ds-train-sim/ that shows how well this sort of conversion can be done. No cab in the K-27, however. It's narrow-gauge, and Britkits has some very nice Shays and rolling stock for the route, as well as narrow-gauge track for route builders.

A very valid point is made here. I think personally that not all content should pose a problem but when it comes to content that is also available for TS like the Flying Scotsman you might have a potential problem with rights :)

It would be cool if someone could convert the default trains from the Hisatsu Line and the Odakyu lines. Heck, how about some TS2015/6 versions of these routes and trains as I would like to see more Japanese rolling stock for TS2015. I have the Forest Route but I have replaced the Toyota HiAce with a Class 142 Pacer for that low-rider bouncy experience that you get in GTA San Andreas .

I wish that someone would convert some SAR rollingstock. I have an SAR "Double Mountain" Garrat, which has knuckle couplers, but it uses vaccume brakes, and the only rolling stock with knuckle couplers I have in North American stuff, so it has air brakes. I WOULD be able to pull british rolling stock with vaccume brakes, but the "All coupling" function doesn't work. (You know, I could couple a PRR K4 to BR Mk 1 coaches)

Well, I still want to see the DM&IR 2-8-8-4 Yellowstones. One of my wishes is coming true in the form of the GTEL being released in TS 2016.

I am now looking for a Fairbanks Morse H -24-66 Trainmaster or a U-50. Any ideas?
