Anyway to download FREE trains?
I would appreciate if someone could let me know if there is a website online that you can download locomotives etc,

The short answer is yes.

I'll start this for now by suggesting you look at:

http://www.uktrainsim.com

From there, you can find content of all sorts but the 'free' dowload plan is slow and tedious but for a small fee this can be circumvented to allow full speed download dependent on your connection and can be purchased for as little as a few quid for 3 months - or other longers plans you choose.

Edit: http://railworks.banal.net/catalog has lots of old/obsolete locomotives, and not all are free. Also look at http://golden-age-rails.com/index.html and http://s1.zetaboards.com/DigiRails_Forums/site. Again, not all free, but lots of good work.

You should take note of this from "Axe" brilliant website, I have used it for many years, the subscription to get the downloads etc is a must do, to keep the ongoing advice / free stuff alive.
