Can you disable Derailments?
Basically that, Im play a route and i am going under the speed limit but I still derail and it is very frustrating. Thanks!

No. You need to find out what you are doing to cause the derail, and then stop doing it.

Where and when? If you're definitely under the speed limit, the only thing that can cause that is a set of points (switches) set against you.

Is DTG support team on the tracks trying to fix something?? lol.

It's not the Class 156 you're driving by any chance? If so, there was a big design flaw, never corrected with this particular loco model; and the train would just topple over on corners without warning, at relativley low speeds on only semi-sharpish bends (nothing outrageously tight). And often well below the speed limit.

But that's the exception in the game. Basically if you're derailing driving other locos, you're simply driving too fast for the track and/or conditions.

On some US routes applying too much dynamic braking while going downhill through switches will cause derailment.

You should also websearch for the specific course/mission. The 1st Acela mission (NEC) is bogus, I would always derail (a switch is suddenly set to change lanes), but I've read to save the game, and then it doesn't happen. It's right after a bonus checkpoint if I recall correctly.

This'd be good if DTG adds this. The S1 Duplex was just released, and it doesn't like any corners. I know its realisitc, but some of us want to be able to drive the train for fun without it flying off the tracks (literally)

No, you can't disable it. Note that the Consist Editor sets every rail vehicle to "loaded" - on very few locos this can lead to excessive tilting in QuickDrives.

The bug actually is in that loco's design, QD sets the "IsPreloaded" flag so your freight cars aren't empty which makes sense. For example the vR E18 shows this issue.

There is a workaround for this: Unpack your Content\ConsistTemplates.bin (stores the consists you have created) with Serz.exe, edit the file with Notepad++ and manually set the Preloaded flags to zero for the corresponding vehicles. Then Serz it back to .bin format.

If you want to speed for fun, live with derailments. It's a simulator and as such calculates g forces and its effects based on the parameters it is given.

The S1 had a rigid frame and prototipicaly would not run on tight radius. There is a fix for this posted at Railworks America. It involves modifying the front bogie pivot point. Just a thought. broaden your horizons. There is more information out there on other forums.

Also a numbers fix.

Why would you want DTG to add this. You would need to pay for it. It is now free????????:steammocking:
