- Upon hitting the 1000 HZ you have to acknowledge the alarm with "PGDN" then slow to 85 KPH with in 29 seconds after acknowledging the alarm - the 1000hz light will remain on till you have traveled 700 meters from the 1000Hz magnet - then will go off - you are still in restircted speed - but if the next signal is clear - you can free yourself from the restriction again by pressing the "End" key.
If the signal isn't clear - continue to slow since you will hit the 500hz magnet and the 500Hz light will illuminate - you now have only 153 meteres to slow to 45 KPH - this restriction will last for 250 meters after the magnet.
if you every pass a 2000Hz magnet when energized )red signal) you will always get an emergency brake situation.
All the above speeds are for a type O (high speed passenger) Type M (Fast Freights) and Type U (Heavy Freights) have different speed restrictions.

I had read through the instructions about PZB and what should be pressed where, however what I didnt realise is that even though the main signal may be showing a clear aspect, if there is a repeater signal on the same post and it is indicating anything other than two green, then you have to "acknowledge" as you pass the signal by pressing Page Down - as you are acknowledging the fact that you are aware the next signal may be red or impose a speed reduction (and you dont get long to do so or the emergency brakes come on - about 2.5 secs I think). There is also no audible alarm to advise this so if you pass anything showing a yellow repeater, you must "acknowledge" (not release as I was doing as I though a yellow signal counts as a clear!) as you pass the signal or your emergency brakes are applied. Took me a few attempts to realise this.
Also (I dont want to spoil which signals are red after you leave KOLN if you havnt got that far so im not going to tell you exactly where the red light(s) are), but ensure you are aware of the speed restrictions under PZB when approaching a RED signal, as I got hit with another emergency brake application for passing a 500Hz magnet located a fair bit before a red signal above 65kph (as line speed was 70!), then again for not reducing my speed to 45kph after I passed the magnet which was quite difficult to see under the snow! - this I reasise was my fault though as I had not fully read and understood the restrictions imposed on approching a red signal that then clears before you get to it).
So I have made it to the first stop (KOLN WEST) but just thought I would put my bit on here as to how I got past the first signal without an emergency brake application.

It is true you can't disable SIFA, but maybe that's because they want difficult career scenario's to be somewhat difficult? (I don't mind either way, but it would be nice if they would communicate their choice better)
@grantos_3000 are you sure you weren't in restricted mode? (1000Hz => max 45km/h and 500Hz => max 25km/h) You will be set to restricted mode if you drive slower than 10km/h for a couple of seconds when a magnet light is active. The restricted mode that will engage is the same as the magnet shown in the locomotive. (So if you had 1000Hz active and stop or drive very slow, 1000Hz restrictive monitoring will be activated, same for 500Hz)
It will show in the upper right corner why the emergency brakes triggered, do you remember what it said?

I got used to the SIFA thing after a while too - even though it usually wants acknowledging just as your trying to respond to a signal or make sure your speed is right before you pass a signal etc!
