Bought the game.. Cant find free train (just Little Ned)

Do i need to buy a train to play this game? Where is the free stuff? Cant find where to change my train.

All the routes in the base game have a selection of trains to drive, the appropriate types for the railway and country. What leads you to expect "free stuff"?
If you want to expand the game with new routes and rolling stock, you either buy it on Steam from DTG, or from an independent developer.
"Free stuff" is available in the Steam Workshop and on-line from some developers.

I'm playing through the family sharing system. The game offers this type of option, however, when I enter the game only one type of train appears

Only one type of train appears to me. Is it because I'm playing in family sharing mode? Does not make sense.

You did not understand. I can ONLY play with little ned. I have the game in my family sharing system.

I just tested it by opening the game directly from the account that owns the game, and the same thing happens.
Only 1 train type to select. Nothing appears in standard and free roam.

As i said. I HAVE the game in ANOTHER Account in my Famili Sharring and i TRIED to play WITH THAT ACCOUNT. SAME problem.

Go to your Library and click on Train Simulator 2024 do you own it there? If so on the right see Manage My DLC what does that show? You have to scroll down a bit.

TSC 2024 does not come with "Standard" or "Free Roam" scenarios for the routes that come with it and hasn't since 2014. You only get "Quick Drive" and "Career" scenarios.

To get quick drive, click the loco icon top left then select from the list that opens on the right. then select a route the same way.
Click career and scenarios that come with the route will show.

You can only select trains, but not a single loco. If you don't have a train with this loco, create one in the formation editor (select an existing train, click edit, replace the loco and save it under a new name).

So I'm going to conclude that the game is rubbish. with 700 DLC and no free content to encourage people to buy. I was unable to access ANYTHING other than the Game Of Gnomes DLC content.
