Confused Train Sim vs Train Sim Classic
I've owned Train Sim for years. Now I'm seeing bundles which include me buying Train Sim Classic as if I didn't have Train Sim, which now identifies as Train Sim Classic. Very Confused.

Same game, new name. It was renamed Train Sim Classic to end the yearly name change confusion. Worked, didn't it. Note if you buy a bundle you will not get a new copy of the game. When you login to Steam to play the game your copy will update to the new name and version. The mouse image near your name indicates that you own TSC.

So now when I buy a bundle, I automatically have to pay for a new copy of a game I have had for years? Stupid. And cost them my purchasing a bundle.

i agree, was confused also, have owned the original for years, now if i click a bundle they want to charge me $14.00 to get classic?!
normally it would be greyed out as i own it already.
no bundle purchases from me!

If you look closely, sometimes purchasing a bundle is cheaper than purchasing all the routes separately. Besides why would you need more than one copy of the game?????

The first time you log into Steam and play it becomes Train Simulator Classic, automatically and it is free.

If you buy a 'bundle' you will NOT pay for a NEW COPY OF THE (CORE) GAME. What you will pay for is any of that bundles CONTENT that you do not already own. That is what you will be charged for.

Incidently, it has been called Train Simulator Classic since April 2022 - almost 2 years ago - so one assumes that you have not fired up the game for around 2 years!
