Based on the glowing reviews of this commuter route I jumped at the chance to buy it in the recent Steam Fall sale. And I found a route fully deserving of those reviews: the detail is phenomenal, the ambiance is superb, the trains handle beautifully, and it passes my ambiance test: if, at the end of a scenario, I feel like I've really put in a shift working for the railway, then it gets my seal of approval. I don't care if the textures aren't the best, or if some of the rivets are missing, what I'm looking for is that over-all feel that immerses you in the simulation. This route has it in spades.

This doesn't mean, however, that there aren't small problems here and there. I've run the route several times now and have not been able to activate the following; I'm hoping some of you might have found work arounds or can point out if I'm missing something (always possible with me ;-)

Concerning the key binds I've found that all of them work with the following exceptions:
Open left doors
[,] (comma)
Open right doors
[-] (minus)
Close doors
[.] (full stop)

I can't get any of those to work either in automatic mode or if you have door control turned on or off, which is: [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[T]

I have found that using the (I) key will close the doors, which is handy if you want to stand outside and watch said doors close without having to quickly jump out of the cab to the platform. This key is not documented that I could find.

Normally, one has to hit the [T] key to load or unload, but with this sim all you have to do is get the train halted with all of the cars on the platform and the loading/unloading happens automatically. I've never really spent a lot of time with commuter routes so I don't know if this is a feature of these sorts of routes or not.

Finally, there aren't any passengers on the platforms! Not a single one that I could see. Is there a way to add these so I don't feel like I'm driving ghost trains!

Well, the silence was deafening, so I asked the publishers, Just Trains, what was up with the keyboard bindings for door opening. This is the answer, for any of you who may be interested:

Open on the left was: , but is now: u
Open on the right was: / but is now: o
Close doors on both sides was: . but is now: i
The yellow "A" button that activates the announcement "Zurückbleiben bitte" can now be operated by the keyboard button: K
