Quite a few of them are (Not all, obviously, there are some pretty good ones out there), but they often get a pass if they're a class that's never been done before, or isn't a project in the works from one of the third parties known for doing great content.
The Class 20 was the most obvious mess up. Released the same day that JT upgraded the features on their Class 20 pack, DTG's not only came in a single livery to JT's 15, but couldn't even match up to the features of JT's locomotive BEFORE they'd upgraded it, and with JT's new release discout, they were exactly the same price.
Also, the less said about DTG's Class 321 the better, it almost seems like they were rushing it just to try and get it out before AP's. Even if the AP/Waggonz 321 never existed, I would not be able to recomend DTG's.
