RW Tools is now FREE!
Possibly one of if not THE most useful tools for anyone wishing to easily change consists or fault find issues within routes or scenarios is now FREE.

Up until now, it was 'donationware', giving you a few free goes before you were required to pay a small contribution. Well Mike Simpson, the creator has just updated it to V7 and has made it 100% free to use now.

For the $2 minimum or whatever it was required for a full licence was value for money.

It's a shame he's not going to be writing any utility programs for TS:UE4 (when it's released)

But thank you Mike (if you see this) for the work you put into it over the years, of course you can also pass on the best to him on the thread he started.

Thx for the update Simon. This is possibly one of the best "must-haves" for train sim fans here.

Yes, go to Scenarios > Edit Scenarios, then select your route and scenario and click edit selected scenario on the right. Then, in this window you can change the weather on the left.

So no need to use the ingame editor for that ?
Can all be done with this tool ?

Can you corrupt a scenario if you change the daytime or weather ?

Not that I know, but you might want to clone it first to be on the safe side. No you don't need the ingame editor, but you could use it if you want.

While RW_Tools are freeware from now on, Mike Simpson will leave enabled his donation button for those that would still like to donate something to him (I am sure it will be so).

Here is the link to his forum in RWA where he posted yesterday, explaining why he decided to go freeware:

I fully realize this is an old, old thread, but does anyone know where to get that utility? All the links I've been able to find no longer work.

Thanks!
