Any good freeware US routes?
I'm looking for some freeware US routes, if any know of a website where I can find some, please let me know. I've already looked at Railworks America but could not find anything for me.

www.railworksamerica.com has three pages of route downloads. I'm surprised you didn't find anything you like. I like the Bay of Quinte and the GN Butte division, myself. I also have the NERW and tbe CBQ Big Horn.

Please do a google search or a search of this forum, there are more FREE than most could post here. Really, I do google alot still and find new routes - scenarios I never knew where out there. I have so many, I could not list them here. I mean, after 5 years of search and the downloads. Have fun ,don't crash, well to often. :steamhappy: Don't forget the Steam Workshop,so many excellent routes - scenarios there.

Search in train simulator workshop for any of Lt Blight freeware routes. You'll not be disappointed. Also search for Great Northerner routes that are also excellent.

Seems you have a very high standard. Suggest you pay for the routes then, which would obviously be a higher standard than free routes.

What are you looking for in a route? Seriously - many of the routes at RWA are equal to or surpass the commercial routes available - and a few are inferior.
simonmd Jul 2, 2016 @ 6:12am
Apparently he wants all for nothing.
Tarik Jul 2, 2016 @ 8:36am
Yeah but most of the routes on RWA are kinda outdated and have fairly standard and repetitive assets.
simonmd Jul 2, 2016 @ 8:53am
The best advice is go buy something, you get what you pay for. Have you any idea just how hard it is to build a half decent route for TS?
Cat Jul 2, 2016 @ 9:04am
Build you own route, you'll get what you want and totally free.
LeadCatcher Jul 2, 2016 @ 12:25pm
Well, you wanted a free route -- they will use the assets that can be had for free-- mostly the old KUJU assets -- If you want the newer assets then as SimonMD suggests - you are going have to purchase them. That being said - some of the more interesting routes I have run have been from RWA -

Where can I find the SimonMD assets?
LeadCatcher Jul 2, 2016 @ 10:16pm
Simonmd is a person that responded to your question.. He said if you want better assets you well need to buy them.

I strongly recommend you have a look in the Workshop. There are some very fine routes including Moscow/Camden, Majestic Falls, and my favourite Boston-New Haven (for which direct link plus full independent website are given below:

Hope that's of some help. All the best.
