JT Voyager 221 - starting problems
Hi,

I've read the manual but I don't think Shift-S is working or doing anything and it seems like I've got no power. Can't get going...

I can't do the New Kid scenario because I don't have that network. I got the Voyagers to make the JT WCML Over Shap scenarios work.

Thanks for any pointers.

Is the loco "cold and dark"?
If Yes, I maybe wrong but in an addendum they only mention Shift + W:
"Press [Shift]+[W] to connect the battery and insert the master key. You will see the warning lights illuminate on the left side.
The TMS Level 3 warning light and alarm will sound. Press the TMS L3 button to cancel the alarm. You will need to repeat this during the start-up process."
In any case if Sift+S is working then the TMS alarm will sound.
It is tricky and you need to follow the procedure in the manual/addendum to the letter.

Thanks for the help, Phase. I tried again using headphones and realised the engine was already on. The reverser on my HUD and the reverser switch on the lower left panel don't seem to match up which was confusing me, but it seems that you initially switch it from Off, past forwards to On... cancel the alarm... and then switch it back to Forward. From that point i'm able to release brakes/add power and move off.

I think the manual I have is a little off.
Squirrel has a great you tube of starting this loco from cold and dark. I remember that it help me immensely whn I got the Voyager. Mine is the JT version, not DTG. At the time DTG didn't have one so I bought the JT version.

Make sure the key is inserted to the key slot which if you pan around loft left then down to where the trotted is. Make sure the key is inserted

Then move the reverser to fwd back to neutral then fwd cancel the aws.

Then ensure the DRa reminder is turned off

Release brakes power and it should
Move
