might be a good entry point
Edit: Well went ahead and got it anyway. Too good a price to pass up but I'll have to wait until next week to play it since I'm at my download limit cap for the month already :)
The bundle has a nice mix of both passenger and freight services, for the price I 100% recommend the bundle.
I will probably pick it up myself even though I own most of the items in the bundle it will be nice to get the things I don't for just £10.
It's absolutely worth the price if you want it, but I own almost everything on sale so it's pointless for me, but definitely a good haul of DLC for almost nothing basically
Core Game (Train Simulator Classic) - 06H5X-XVAFV-8JCPW
Hamburg - Hannover Route Add-on - 0EBAF-IZNVN-A8IEY
Somebody can get in on the hobby for free. Have fun!
EDIT---------------
HOLY COW there must be some DLC added FREE as when i looked at DLC list there must be 28-30 things in there!
Specifically, german (and austrian) side of things is pretty good this time.
So yes, if anyone wonders, if this can be a good entry point for entering TSC - this time it is!
(The fact it is so easy to get into TS for under £1 should suggest to people why the business model is built around DLC...)
Anyway, after seeing the Huddersfield DLC being released recently, I became interested in booting up the game again. I used to travel on that line at weekends to visit a friend in Huddersfield, travelling from Manchester Victoria. We used to spend the weekend cycling around the Pennines and Peak District. The last time I travelled over there I decided to forgo the train journey and cycle over. It took me about 2 hours to cycle the approximately 40 miles; the hardest part was cycling up the western slopes of the Pennines. The following day travelling back home it took me over 5 hours due to the prevailing winds. Even cycling down steep inclines I couldn't get more than 5mph where usually I'd easily reach 35 to 40 mph (so you can imagine how windy it was).
Still the Huddersfield line has a lot of great memories for me, so I will be buying it. (much line the Settle line did when I first purchased Railwaorks back in 2009 as my school had leased the Dent Station from British Rail after the line was closed to use as an outward bound and projects centre for the Duke of Edinburgh awards and Geology and Geography projects; now its a hotel).
It was with a sense of Wow!, seeing this thread as I'd literally only just reinstalled Train Sim Classic and had been looking longingly at all the new content that has been released over the last several years; especially the new lines.
I snapped up the bundle immediately thanks to Mikes post. Of the 18 DLC included, I already had 10 of them, but the majority of the eight I got were new routes, so am really pleased. The spares I'll pass on to one of my many Steam friends.
Thank you for the heads up on this bundle, it's saved me a small fortune and added five new lines to explore. (Peninsula Corridor: San Francisco - Gilroy R, NEC: Washington DC - Baltimore,Hudson Line: New York - Croton-Harmon, Fife Circle Line: Edinburgh - Dunfermline & the Mittenwaldbahn: Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Innsbruck Route Add-On)
Does the key for the base game in this bundle include the three standard routes?
It’s too bad the included Chatham Mainline is the old one, not the updated one. The majority of people probably already have that.
Yes, it is the full game, including the 3 routes.
