What if MSTS 2 was released?
It would be released in July 2004. It would include Horeshoe Curve in the USA during 1946, and the Deutsche Bahn AG in Germany. Also, there would be a British route during it's steam era, a Swiss route, and a Japanese route. But when do you think MSTS 3 would be released if MSTS was released in July 2004?

That is a very pointless question, but I'll give you my prediction anyway - 2196

I didn't even know it's pointless!

I think I'm pointless!

I asked it because of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXzE1Yb54xU

Would probably be delayed 2 years. I'd say 2198, earliest.

Do you think I'm pointless!?

Who knows??

(I only know that Microsoft is very interested in making money. They buy good ideas from others to make money. If it turns out to be less profitable they are not interrested anymore. Maybe they are still making money with the rights of the original program.)

PS Thanks for posting the link; interresting video.

(edit: added PS)

What's a question that is not pointless?
englishkeymaster Jun 8, 2022 @ 6:56am
Calling someone pointless is a bit brutal, so in desperation to prevent offense I tried to find a point to the question, as MSTS2 never got released a MSTS3 release date is pretty much without any kind of basis of anything, not even any kind of mention that it may be a thing from anywhere....

I don't want to dig deep here or overthink it but on the pointless front its not looking good. Giving all the benefit of all the doubt that the question may be genuine and we still come up short of any kind of point. And thats the issue, there is no point, which makes it all a bit ... pointabsent

Sorry, but what's a question that's not pointless anyway?
Glenn Jun 8, 2022 @ 7:26am
"Calling someone pointless is a bit brutal," - Did I call someone pointless? I thought I just said that the question was pointless. Seems to me that there is probably a translation problem here. As has been pointed out above, MSTS 2 was never released, but Electronic Arts released the old (reworked) MSTS in 2008 (I think) as 'Rail Simulator', which ultimately became Dovetail Games' 'Train Simulator 20**'. As there never was a MSTS 2, then there is obviously no point in asking about MSTS 3.

Yeah, I thought if MSTS 2 was released in July 2004, they would plan for a MSTS 3
Glenn Jun 8, 2022 @ 7:45am
But MSTS 2 was NOT release in 2004, or at any other time, ever. What makes you think that it was? Where do you get the number 2004 from? This is why your question about MSTS 3 is of no relevance, it has no valid point, it is pointless!!

"Did I call someone pointless?"

Don't know I didn't read your posts, was more responding to the OP who stated they thought they were pointless then asked if they were pointless. I didn't want to call them pointless but did want to highlight that given the type of question being asked it was hard to argue against the point. Pun unintended
