I'm a bit confused as to what their new soundpack for the large Prairie will really give you though, as the sound as standard seems very good anyway.
In February, I went on a railtour hauled by steam locomotive Galatea, a Jubilee class. When I got home, I went straight to Steam Sounds Supreme and downloaded their Jubilee soundpack. There's just no comparison with the default sounds. The SSS sound pack brought the whole thing to life, and I was able to use the timings I'd written down while riding the real thing to recreate the experience on Train Simulator.
I've downloaded their Black 5 soundpack, the Small Prairie soundpack, the A1 Tornado soundpack, the Flying Scotsman soundpack, the Jubilee soundpack, the Sir Lamiel soundpack and their coaches soundpack, as well as their Bluebell Railway route, Mainline Halls pack, WSR route and a few other things.
I found out about SSS after someone posted a comment about them on these pages. Hopefully this comment will help a few more people to discover them and enjoy the game as I have.
It's got to be worth a fiver, to make sure you've got the best sound available, for one of your favourite locos, rather than something you don't really need.
..
GW, as it's a new product it's not in the sale anyway (the large Prairie sound pack that is).
It definitely is one of my favourites though, so if anyone does get the soundpack at some time, I'd be grateful if they post some feedback on this forum.
