Virtual District Line + Steam version of the Metropolitan Line and S7 Stock?
Does anyone know if the Steam versions of these addons enable you to play the Virtual District Line freeware route? On their page they list as requirements the JustTrains versions of these addons. I asked on their forums and they told me there's no guarantee the flawed Steam versions will make the VDL work. I would buy the JT versions if they weren't so expensive for me.

If it helps there is probably going to be a JT sale at some point in the next few months. Last time they were on sale, the S7 and S8 were half price.

From the website:
Requirements to run the VDL
Essential! :
- Metropolitan Line (JustTrains) or (Steam)
For selected scenarios only:
- S7+1 Advanced Underground Stock (JustTrains)
So the steam version of the JT Metropolitan Line will work but they only list the Just Trains version of the S7+1 AUS. That is a little odd as the JT version of the ML route, the S7+1 and the S8 AUS all share the same unique GUID as the steam versions. That is that they will load into exactly the same file and folder structure in the Railworks folder,
The Steam and JT versions are essentially the same usually with only some minor scenario numbers the only difference between them, JT versions usually have more.

My concern relies on the fact the Steam version of th Metropolitan Line seems to be very defective for many users. I think the trains have issues as well; all content related to the Met line on Steam has very negative reviews. I would like to buy all of this not only to play the VDL, but also the Met as well. It's not very common to see an entire LU line recreated in any sim, aside of things like some BVE routes and the rather mediocre, 10 year old WoS 3.

The Steam version is the same as the JT version (scenarios excepted) -Both suffer from the same OOMs on SOME computers, I have had the JT version since its release and I cannot play some scenarios (without modification) due to OOMs. Buying the JT version won't make it more stable than the (same) Steam version.
