I purchased a wireless controller last year and I never got it to work properly with TS.
I then purchased an x-box controller for the PC that is wired (plugs into any usb port) and it has worked perfectly.
No. It is wired into a USB 2.0 port

I know trying to drive an 03 with one isnt a nice experience..
Pro locos dont work too
Also check if simple driving controls are on or off
They also...tick..and vibrate when you go over pointwork
Cost me one controller when I never knew it happened nor cared to use it
Just happened to have it plugged in after rocket league
Lino floors and high desks dont mix with xbox pads that have unexpected lives of thier own
I have simple controls on and have tried Class 43 and 377 locos and get the same response. I do get the vibration going over points. The Right joystick does camera pans as expected but on the left joystick I get UP - Accelerate; DN - Decelerate; LT - Toggle F3/F4 (HUD), RT - Toggle F3/F4 (HUD); PRESS - Horn (as in the guide)
Yes you can use XPadder but it shouldn't be necessary, with a X-Box controller. They are coded by the sim just to emulate the base keyboard controls. My 2 controllers workas per the TS manual. This could be one for DTG support!
There's your problem. The X-Box controller will not function correctly when "Simple controls" is designated.
You must switch to "Expert" controls. Trust me. It will work.
Thanks. That was the fix I needed - I must have missed that point in the user guide. Now I have to get used to the sudden jumps in acceleration (even with sensitivity set to 0) lol.
