Report a translation problem
All I can suggest is get a note of what the trains causing the problem are and then take the time to watch the AI trains in question on the map. Play normally until close to the point where it happens. If it's a collision, there is some kind of issue with the trains. If it's something like a train jumping the tracks, it could possibly be an update on the route causing the issue (especially across multiple scenarios). You can also change which version of TS you are using and see if that helps. Worst case scenario, take video of the incident occurring and see if you can get help with that by uploading it to your Youtube (you can unlist it and link it here).
By the way, do you clear your cache? If not, do that. Something might be hiding in there.
I did not receive update from DTG
You did not receive a 16 MB upgrade from March 2?
- A Thorny Matter
- Arriving East
- Barstow Backlog
- Be Prepared
- Cajon Pass
- Full Up
- Relief Freight
- Short, Sharp Shunt
- Slow Climb South
- The Splitter
- Thorn Reversal

Source: Cajon Pass manual and the Railworks 2 manual (where it's known as Barstow to San Bernardino).
So let's check the DLC I can find, most from BNSF products and which I literally obtained manuals for yesterday for research purposes for something else. I will now use them herein.
From the GP9 Loco Pack:
- Switch Off
- Cutting Under the Clouds
From the SD70 V2:
- SD70s at Barstow (Free Roam)
- Four Minutes of Fun
- Return of the Mac
- Race to the Summit
From the SW1500 Switcher:
- Light Switch (Free Roam)
- Supplier Switch (Free Roam)
- Mobile Switcher
Hmm, that's three DLC down. Let's keep going.
From the ATSF SD45-2
- Raining Over Cajon Pass
- A Short Train
- Coal to Barstow
- Collecting Goods
From the Dash9 pack (which includes a Canadian one, I am salty):
- Dash9s at Victorville (Free Roam)
- Digging the Pass
- Dash to Lenwood
- Climbing Over Cajon
From the BNSF SD75M/I:
- Climbing Sullivan's Curve
- Glass Company Exports
- Held Up By the Highwaymen
- Not Always Sunny in California
- Out to Needles
I'd say that's a pretty thorough review. I'm pretty sure, unless there's a DLC I have not seen a manual for yet (maybe the Santa Fe at stub 24057?), that you might not have an official scenario. Would you like to investigate further and get back to us? Thanks.
As an aside, I am trusting it's an official scenario. I found a thread from 2010 asking about this same AI collision. I can just confirm it's not part of any of the packs I've named. It could very well also be in the ES44AC/SD40-2 combo pack at stub 24012, which is the first official DLC for Train Simulator based on that numbering. It would make sense, and I don't think I have that manual.
Thanks, Cyclone, for your detective efforts. Much appreciated!
If it is an official scenario, then I can reasonably assume that I paid for it somewhere along the line as part of a DLC (as opposed to getting it free from the Workshop). Developers that get paid for their work have a responsibility to provide work that works. That is my opinion, at least.
