I believe they have closed shop. There have been rumors about a return but nothing recently. Check at RWA. https://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=54&sid=9e6828f9f519f12bfaff5033f5b26109

I actually was cataloguing reskins at RWA and noticed some based on this company. Indeed, I cannot find certain models any longer. Some are on Steam and still there, showing them as the owner, but their site is gone. There are a couple of models I was seeking for reskins.

Unfortunately, their closing up shop, I believe, does not make sharing their content legal. I am surprised they didn't just send the rest to DTG and ask them to sell them on Steam and take the little profit they would get without their own site.

They may well have done so. The Victory Works 4200/5205/7200, which was released on Steam recently, was originally released on SSS in 2016[victoryworksts.blogspot.com]. It could be that VRC releases may reappear on Steam as late as 2025. DTG seem to like spacing out releases.

Thanks for that link, I found his "Thanks for all the fish" thread in there. I find it strange he never put his other content on Steam, or at least made it available as freeware after retiring the site. Do you know if his other content has made it out somewhere? I'm assuming he has cut off contact completely with the community, also.

Perhaps DTG acquired the catalog and will release them in time. Who knows?

Not that I call one release a week "spacing out releases"...

There will be nothing new from VRC. Jerry pulled the plug in 2019-2020

Is it just me or did I pick up frustration from VRC (in some of the early forum posts) with DTG when they first tried to set up a business relationship with DTG? Sounded like some of the indie developers can be at the less then perfect mercy of DTG at times.

I mean if they have enough of a backlog that they can release something once a week for four years straight, it's spaced out relative to what they could otherwise do, ie. multiple releases per day.

Jerry said basically, it wasn't worth the time and aggravation. It took up personal time from family and other things he enjoys. This happens to many who try to make a few bucks developing content, it is labor intensive. His computer is in a storage locker and not even in the house. He is done with everything Train simulator.
