Unfortunately there are only a few addons which contain ÖBB passenger rolling stock.
The Semmeringbahn contains both passenger & freight wagons.

Alternatively the Mittenwaldbahn also contains freight wagons, and the 4020 middle wagon, the 7020 can be used with other locomotives as well.

This one has the Cityshuttle wagons

A selection of free ÖBB rolling stock can be found here

Kind regards

Definitely the go to place for everything regarding OeBB
They also are the partner of Skyhook games with some of their more recent ÖBB stuff.
RSSLO is another good place to get realistic stuff, they have the Talent 4020, the 4010, the Desiro 5022/ DB Br 642, ÖBB Cityjet, ÖBB 2016 and the Vectrons (the advanced variant is very good), as well as another Taurus.
Then there is the HRQ Taurus, Donationware a bit old, more intermediary realism instead of high realism, but it was the first Taurus for Trainsim so there are tons of Repaints for it, also was the first to feature both main versions, the ES64U2 and ES64U4 in a pack with their own cabs.
The DTG ES64U2 is a spin-off of an older HRQ version, pre-addition of the .
Download and Activation are a bit of a PITA though.
The advantage with most European rolling stock is that on the continent most freight cars are standardized, so you can also use the freeware rolling stock of Amicitreni.org .
You can also use french, german, swiss and other rolling stock to simulate the international transport.
Now if you wanted to make something 80's or nineties based.....well you could use some of the passenger stock as well, there used to be a ton more international trains with other railway's rolling stock back then.
Very nice info there!
and yes, i remember when i first tried the 1144, i was scratching my head thinking how is this a free loco? I don't think i have downloaded anything bad from their site
That is still pretty rare imho, there are a few british kettles (Steamers) where you can look into the smokebox and clear that out, but it's still rare.
Yeah the 1144 is a modification of the original 1044, both called the Alpenstaubsauger or Alpine Vacuum cleaner due to volume of the cooling fans at full blast.... ;)
Friend of mine who drives IRL there was once joking about how the ÖBB is totally "Schmerzbefreit" (roughly painless/ruthless) in that they combine everything (1144s with 1016s and 1116s)! ;)
And that they have no upper limit on the ampere on the line...so they run not just double headers, but triple headers, a double header with a banker, a double header with two bankers etc.... :D
Thank you, spending time on the Plattforms of Stuttgart Hbf was quite magical as kid, seeing all those trains from Austria, Italy, France and other Places.
Also the 90's DB was much more colourful than today, with the colour coding denoting the type of train (Light grey-Mint=Regional, Light grey-Orange=S-Bahn/Metra/fast commuter, light-grey-Orient Red=Intercity, Light-Grey-Blue=Interregio).
Also the Variety of locos was awesome, you still had some of the old Einheitselloks (Standard Electros), the locos of the 70's like the 103 and 111, the first of the East German 143s and 112s in the west, the first 232/Ludmillas in the west (What a spectacle!), 120s and the first of the new ones like the 101 coming online.
Also the Bundesbahn and Reichsbahn were just better than the DBAG of today, as well as a lot of the others!
Oh and on the topic of the OP, the 1189 is another noice loco, at the moment the only crocodile ingame. And I love my Crocodiles!
i'm no expert so don't quote me on this, but it might have something to do with different electric power that the loco draws from the lines?
as if it is real or a bug watch on youtube the real Taurus!
(ICE trains have that musical tone also)
Was easier to find when the entire list of 700+ DLC was visible dropping it down.
Yes, the Siemens Taurus (and some others, including the Traxx we've got) makes that stepping sound. I recall it's halfway between intentional and a joke, given that traction has to be managed at low speed, and it came out. The joke part is to make it specifically sound like that.
Look for explanation on Wikipedia - the Taurus is a nickname for Siemens Eurosprinter (ES64U2/4).
BTW if you talk of Multiple Taurus, the "correct" term is Tauri ;)
The "Tonleiter" or scale that it's playing is the Dorian Scale, but only the ES64U2s play it, the ES64U4s do not play it due to the different rectifiers.
