Imbue Class 185 now out
Not sure if it was worth posting about but just seen a facebook announcement for the Imbue 185 now being available on Alan Thomson's website

Literally just announced. Alongside the 323 (or a decent one anyway) this is something I've been waiting for for a long time, so I'll naturally be an early adopter.

Haven't tried it yet though, IIRC a few of us are in the 185 stomping ground in real life thought I'd share the heads up. I am not affiliated, but damn curious :)

Is this related to the Fuller Simulation unit?
What is it?

Railfan, I don't think it is related to that (if its the one im thinking of), this appears to be completely scratch built and after first run feels quite AP enhancement quality.

this is the facebook page for it - https://www.facebook.com/ImbueStudios and i did wonder if it was ever coming because a lot of teaser shots got posted up early last year and otherwise appeared to stall.

Needless to say I'm glad it's finally made its debut

edit - might as well post a teaser screenshot or two:

I'll be sure to give this a look.

At £25 it's going to blow some minds, and based on some comments already probably put some homes at risk (lol), but I think this unit has been overlooked far too long :D

that said this has been a long time coming, years.

It's bloody beautiful. That is one of the best cabs in train sim, the texturing is unreal.

Ironically, the future for TS Classic is as interesting as ever!

It is!

The game engine does have issues, I do myself wish the stutter on tile loading could be addresses but as a hobbyist coder myself I appreciate the problem of getting locked in to a codebase 'whilst the world runs ahead of you'. It is what it is.

The game still holds a crapload of value, and both DTG and the third party DLC makers are part of it.

Nobody forced anyone to make these addons and I daresay it won't be as profitable as we think (25 sounds a lot but given the development time has been measured in *years*...they are going to have to sell a lot!)

Of course, I'd love to see some major updates to the engine to increase performance too, but It's not a deal breaker for me atm.

I have no problem with an addon of that quality £25. ATS have been really upfront about a couple of special liveries that weren't included which shows the honesty of the parties involved and the attention to detail of the pack itself. I imagine support will be great too.

Agreed that after VAT and taxes from £25, given all the parties involved the take will not be huge, per unit sold.
